I think the annotations will help you see how these stories are set up and get more familiar with the grammar and voice of a newspaper feature. Here's a story that the Roar published, but it began as a trend story for my class. Read it and annotate it using Diigo for tomorrow. When annotating, think about the task ahead of you and how the author here handled it -- who did he interview? Are all of the relevant questions answered? Is there a mix of broad information and concrete details? How is is structured? How does the lead work? |
